M12 B-coded connector — the global standard for PROFIBUS-DP and Interbus fieldbus networks. The 5-pin B-coded configuration with unique keying prevents accidental mating with A-coded sensor connectors. Gold-plated contacts ensure reliable data transmission at up to 12 Mbps. Nickel-plated brass shell provides robust EMI shielding for factory floor environments with VFD and motor drive noise.
PROFIBUS-DP master/slave connections, Interbus-S remote I/O, CANopen industrial networks, DeviceNet auxiliary connections. Used extensively in Siemens SIMATIC S7 PLC systems, Beckhoff EtherCAT gateways, and Rockwell ControlLogix fieldbus interfaces. B-coded M12 is the standard fieldbus connector per IEC 61076-2-101.
